Scope of Role:
  • Manage FR team and cooperate with GFS team to ensure the timely delivery of Group IFRS reporting packs, annual report and statutory accounts;
  • Provide professional advice and technical support to other financial functions and business in relation to accounting policies/standards;
  • Act as financial reporting representative to participate the Bank's projects.
  • Assist line manager in management reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Group reporting packs have been prepared/reviewed, in all material respects, in accordance with the group accounting policies as set out in the Group and Financial Accounting Manual
  • Review the reconciliation of inter-company and inter-branch balances/transactions with the counterparties
  • Review the reconciliation of the financial results with the management results
  • Prepare analytical review procedures for group reporting deliverables and ensure that all material variances have been commented on and accurately explained
  • Review the queries from Group Finance regarding Group IFRS reporting packs and other ad hoc queries, revert back in an accurate, responsive and timely matter
  • Prepare the Declaration form of IFRS pack to CFO and CEO to sign off
  • Prepare and review annual report and statutory accounts according to China Accounting Standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors regarding annual audit and other ad hoc inspections
  • Provide financial commentary on policy issues that may affect the business; Provide advice and guidance on financial related issues, including the development of new products, to ensure the business complies with the accounting policies
  • Act as financial reporting representative to participate the Bank's ad hoc projects, i.e. system improvement, financial technical paper, etc.
  • Maintain good communication with other business functions in daily works
  • Manage team of people in own area of expertise through resource, retention, development and team building
  • Attend the review for financial part of PPGs and CAs
  • Prepare CFO papers and analysis for BOD meetings and AC meetings
  • Closely work with GFS team to carry out the BAU migration plan.
  • Participate the management reporting activities where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor degree majoring in Finance or Accounting related
  • Over 10 years Accounting working experience in banking industry. And Big 4 experience with exposure to banking industry is preferred.
  • Experience in managing a small team of qualified members
  • Familiar with IFRS and PRC GAAP reporting requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Strong team work spirit
  • Quicker learner, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent spoken and written English
