Financial Analyst (Brand Finance)

I.Job Objectives: a)To work with the Marketing team to assist in increasing brand profitability for our benefit in Greater China. b)To assist in evaluating and resolving commercial issues through providing analytical feedbacks and advises with detailed execution plan. c)To support management decisions with accurate and timely financial reports. II. Key Result Areas: a)To continue improvement of the relationship with the commercial group, ensuring confidence is upheld through the actions of finance with the sales and marketing teams. b)The timely submission and production of the Plan and Forecasts. c)Perform ROI assessment on key investments d)Financial analysis relating to brand P&L, thus developing an understanding within the commercial group of the importance of their actions. e)Provide ad hoc financial analysis support in various projects. III. Main Tasks and Accountabilities: 1.Process Improvement • Explore opportunities or alternatives to improve existing process through system support, standardization and establish new process flow • Identify key critical processes and review its' efficiency and effectiveness. Commercial support • Support Greater China Spring & Fall line selection and pricing review • Involve in monthly quota review to provide analysis on latest brand performance • Review price promotion application and perform pre & post evaluation and margin impact • Preparation and submission of Plan and Forecasts (3 per annum for brand P&L) • Review and analyze all Media investments and perform ROI analysis and highlight findings to Marketing team • Track all A&P expense and provide analytics • To use available modeling tools (eg channel/brand Pricing model) to evaluate margin risks or opportunities for timely highlight to the sales & marketing group • Support Local Marketing Team in all finance related matters • Attendance at all relevant company meetings IV. Competencies: • Technical : Strong analytical skillls, A logical thinker who can solve problems in a practical manner whilst utilising their commercial acumen. In addition someone who has the ability to perform under pressure whist adhereing to strict deadlines. Systems literacy would be seen as a prerequisite of the role. • Personal : A persuasive, diplomatic and personable manner is required. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively to other employees both Finance and Non Finance. VI. Education: Finance Degree or a professional Accounting qualification/MBA VII. Experience: Minimum 7 years post qualification and a background of at least 2 years in a commerci
